Claude reaches the server from Anthropic's cloud rather than from your machine, so there is nothing to run locally. On Team and Enterprise plans an owner has to add the connector for the organisation first; on the free plan you get one custom connector.

The MCP hands your assistant the data we already collect for you: the threads, the scores, the full posts. It can read them, rank them and draft with you. It cannot post or comment, and there is no code in the server that could.
Reddit hunts automation. It shadow-removes bot comments and bans accounts overnight, and you would never know it happened. A reply that does not sound like a person is worth less than no reply at all, so the writing and the posting stay yours.
